So... I just started playing this tonight. I've owned if for a while but it's not really "My kind of game" but I've been watching a few video game fail videos when I'm having trouble getting out of a funk and GTA5 looks silly and fun and over the top so tonight I fired it up. I am awful at fighting games... and driving games... so thus far I have simply died. A LOT. But it is rather fun. I think once I get more used to it, the online mode could be a good escape for me when I need to log in and tune out my head.
If any of you play it, or are on PS$ and feel like friending me, feel free - I'm Deeplydapper on there, like most things.

Hmm. I played the first few tutorial missions last night and today I slipped my toe into the GTA ONLINE world... it may be more madness than I can handle - there's a lot going on.
I've also been conditioned from RPGs to want to find treasure and pick up items all over and there's none of that, which is disappointing.
I really wish someone would make a hybrid of this and Skyrim that takes place in a NOIR 40's city. (Or does that exist already?)

Played the Online version more last night - I could see how this would be quite fun if you had a group of friends to play with on a dedicated map - Things are both smoother (Driving and foot battles) and clunkier (Pretty much everything else) than I was expecting. The map is HUGE and designed in a really subtle way that shows landscape and income changes as you drive and gradually slides you back into the main city.
